They have become powerful inspirational leaders for the youth around the globe, a reference of excellence in the oil and gas industry that interacts with today’s most prominent industry figures.
During the past years, the oil and gas industry has been exposed to various events that have highlighted great challenges to the current energy system. However, energy issues are profoundly linked with the development of our societies, their economies and the well being of our people. Therefore, creating a sustainable energy future should be the main concern of today’s youth. The WPC Youth Committee aspires to provide the premier forum for these discussions while engaging senior leaders.

Based on the MOU, The parties wish to cooperate with each other according to their competencies, and some part of agreed MOU to mutual collaboration can be described as follows:
Mutual utilization of either Party’s network for the purpose of connecting with knowledge-base companies, universities, and specialized laboratories outside of Iran.
Mutual collaboration on planning and execution of technology transfer projects and facilitating foreign investment in oil & gas industry projects.
Joint collaboration for dissemination of knowledge,scientific publications ,and Making possible internship programs, visit tours,and communication with RIPI experts for student members of IOI WPC YC .
The MOU was signed on on Saturday, October 20, 2018 by Dr. Bazmi , Vice-President and Technology of Research Institute of Petroleum Industry and Mr. Ali Rahneshin , Iran Oil Industry Youth Representative in World Petroleum Council .
Responsibility, Cooperation & Sustainability
Organized by the WPC and the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI), this 3-day conference will be held at the Renaissance Hotel in Mumbai, India.
Through responsible actions and close cooperation with all stakeholders, the oil and gas industry will be able to contribute to sustainable solutions. The World Petroleum Council will be bringing together industry leaders to discuss and demonstrate the best available technology and practices in order to minimize impacts and risks to the people and environments where we operate around the world. By highlighting the industry’s global strategies we can contribute to raising the standards across the sector.
The President of the World Petroleum Council, Mr. Tor Fjaeran, encourages all to participate: “Given the complexity and challenges that the petroleum business will face in delivering energy for sustainable development of the world, responsible culture needs to be incorporated at all levels, from the small communities where we operate and throughout our global business. Stable long-term relationships and cooperation with all stakeholders enable our industry to provide sustainable energy for all.” Now on its 2nd Edition, WPC Leadership Conference will be held at the Renaissance Hotel, Mumbai, India on the 18 – 20 of February 2019.
